Free Masterclass: Stop losing money to team miscommunication
My faith is an important part of my story and the foundation of how Called Into Confidence began. While my work is open to people from all backgrounds, this testimony reflects the role faith, purpose, and divine redirection played in my journey.
In the fall of 2024, a friend told me, “You are not called to work a nine-to-five for much longer.”
I politely thanked her, but I did not believe her. I fully expected to remain in government until retirement.
Then, in early 2025, changes within the federal government created uncertainty around the career I had always considered stable. For the first time, I began preparing for the possibility that I might need another job.
I hired a coach to help me update my résumé. During our first meeting, she asked whether I had ever considered becoming an entrepreneur. Then she said the same words I had heard months earlier: “You are not meant to work a nine-to-five.”
At first, I was frustrated. I had hired her for a résumé, but instead, she helped me create a business name and strategic plan.
Around that same time, a former leader reminded me not to overlook my certification in the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument. She told me that my ability to facilitate and help people understand how they think would carry me into my next season.
A few months later, she called and asked me to lead an HBDI session for her new team. I assumed I would participate through my government role, but she clarified that she wanted to hire me as my own business entity.
In that moment, everything connected.
The words spoken over me, the coaching, the uncertainty, and the skills I had developed throughout my career were all pointing in the same direction.
I got off the phone, laughed, and said, “Okay, God. I get it. You want me to start a business.”
And that is how Called Into Confidence was born.
I thought I was preparing for another job.
God was preparing me to build something of my own.
